Sol Córdova is a Chilean-Ecuadorian singer and songwriter based in Quito, Ecuador. Her neo-folklore music explores themes of healing, freedom, and personal growth. Sol has actively contributed to the music scenes in Ecuador and Chile, notably with the Colectivo Cantando Juntas, a collaborative group of female Colombian and Ecuadorian artists, which released its debut EP in 2020.

Her forthcoming EP, Surupa, scheduled for release in late 2024, will feature the song “Cumbia de Autoamor” (Cumbia of Self-Love) a track co-produced with Chilean guitarist Cristobal Piña. The song blends traditional cumbia with modern elements, celebrating self-esteem and resilience. “I was walking, head down through life,” Córdova sings, “With a broken heart and a lost gaze / But an inner voice told me / ‘All this is happening to you, girl, because you don't love yourself.’ / With this cumbia of self-love / I love myself so I can love you.”
