Silver Wattle is the side project of Naomi Keyte, a singer-songwriter and yoga teacher living and working on Kaurna Country, the traditional land of the Kaurna people, the Indigenous custodians of the Adelaide Plains in South Australia. Known for her evocative alt-folk music and dedication to connection through sound and movement, Keyte uses her artistry to bridge personal reflection and shared experience. While her solo work often explores rich, lyrical storytelling, Silver Wattle allows her to expand into collaborative, multi-layered compositions. Formed in 2018, and taking its name from the iconic Australian tree, Silver Wattle draws inspiration from nature, human resilience, and the landscapes of Australia. Silver Wattle’s music combines intricate harmonies, atmospheric arrangements, and Keyte’s signature emotive vocals. The project also explores instrumental and vocal-based meditative music, deepening the connection between sound and mindfulness.
