Their track “Boubacar” is a mellow instrumental featuring Aldo Betto’s soulful, desert blues electric guitar riffs. The track originally appeared on the band’s 2022 album Ghibli, which means a hot desert wind, and apt metaphor for Savana Funk’s warm, border-crossing sound, which features elements of North African roots music, Sahara guitar grooves and classic American soul, funk and fusion.
