Rocky Dawuni is a celebrated Ghanaian singer, songwriter, and humanitarian known for his unique blend of reggae, Afrobeat, and highlife music. Born in Bunbon, Northern Ghana, Dawuni’s socially conscious lyrics and infectious rhythms have earned him a global fan base. He first gained international recognition with his 1998 album Crusade, and his subsequent works, including the Cumbancha release Branches of the Same Tree (2015), garnered critical acclaim, earning him the first of four Grammy nominations. A passionate advocate for social and environmental causes, Dawuni serves as a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador for Africa, using his platform to promote peace, sustainability, and cultural exchange. Rocky Dawuni continues to inspire audiences worldwide, blending traditional African sounds with universal themes of unity and love.

The song “Children of Abraham,” explains Rocky, “is about recognizing shared destiny and choosing the path to peace over any path to war. It was inspired by a trip to Israel and Palestine that moved me deeply led me to think hopefully about the possibilities of coexistence.” Rocky sings, “Children of Abraham / Will you put your weapons down? / Come on let’s make peace work! / Save today for the sake of tomorrow.”
