The Brazilian band Mantric Mambo have been performing for over 20 years as part of the ayahuasca ceremonies at the Mãe D'água Temple in Alto Paraíso de Goiás, Brazil, a remote forest region north of Brasilia in the state of Goiás. Their music is inspired by the sacred teachings and the natural rhythms they experience in their ceremonies. Blending African rhythms, with contemporary Brazilian styles such as samba, bossa nova and MPB, their sound offers vibrant melodies filled with messages of beauty, hope, and faith. Formed from a shared passion for music and spiritual practices, Mantric Mambo aims to bring people together through celebratory ritual. Their performances act as musical gateways for personal reflection and consciousness expansion, encouraging listeners to engage with the rhythm of life.

Their song “Dona das Marés” is a tribute to Janaína, a revered deity associated with the sea and water in Afro-Brazilian religions, and reflects themes of forgiveness, emotional depth, and spiritual connection: “Hail to the queen, lady of the tides / Mysterious guide, ignite our faith / Mother of the waters, guide this journey.”
