LuizGa, the alter ego of Brazilian musician Luiz Gabriel Lopes, blends Brazilian folk traditions with modern sounds. As a solo artist, he delves into themes of identity, spirituality, and nature, merging acoustic rhythms with electronic elements. He also contributes to Brazil's independent music scene through the group Graveola. LuizGa's work is known for its introspective and experimental edge, expanding the boundaries of Brazilian music.

Edgar Valente, a Portuguese musician, merges traditional folk music with contemporary experimental sounds. As a co-founder of Criatura, he reimagines Portuguese musical traditions with a modern twist. Valente’s deep, emotive voice and innovative use of electronics create a distinctive sound that connects past and present, exploring cultural heritage while pushing genre boundaries.

The mostly instrumental “Galope” (Gallop) is a track from LuizGa and Valente’s 2024 collaborative album AIÊ, which examines the multiculturalism of the Portuguese-speaking diasporas. The song resonates with the mystical Afro-Brazilian jazz influences of Edu Lobo and Hermeto Pascoal and symbolizes a journey between physical and spiritual realms, culminating in the evocative closing phrase, "Horses also sing."
