Philippe Lossen is an artist and music producer with French Caribbean (Martinique & Guadeloupe) roots based in Paris, France. Between 1998 and 2000, he was conductor of the Pau Caraïbes Cabaret in Paris on the Champs Elysees. At the same time, he set up a troupe which took the name of Cocobamboo.
Together with Cocobamboo, Lossen explores the rhythms and sounds of the Caribbean, ranging from Jamaican reggae to bachata and merengue from the Dominican Republic and zouk from Guadeloupe and Martinique. They have performed hundreds of shows, including several of Mick Jagger's birthday parties, in addition to other concerts and galas in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
