Lalitha released her debut single “Igagu” in 2023. The title translates roughly from the Xhosa language as “know-it-all” and is typically used to describe someone who is perceived as overly expressive or forward, often implying that they are too assertive about their knowledge or opinions. “Even though you say the truth in the humblest way, they don't care,” she sings, “They call you out of line, forward, expressive, a know-it-all... but why? / What is the problem? Why does it bother you? What does it trigger in you? / Your truth does not align with people's wants or desires.”
