Born into an artistic family of composers and performers, Serouj Baghdassarian, who goes by the name C-Rouge, is a Lebanese-Armenian music producer who blends traditional Armenian folk instruments and melodies with electronic and orchestral music. While earning a living as a website designer from his home in Armenia, C-Rouge has followed his musical passion for the past 15 years, producing dozens of albums and singles. Inspired by film composers such as Thomas Bergersen and Hans Zimmer, C-Rouge’s cinematic productions take Armenian folk music in exciting new directions.

Recently, C-Rouge has produced more intimate productions in addition to his epic soundscapes.. With his song “Gyumri” he collaborated with a violinist from Armenia, an Israeli master of the duduk (an Armenian double-reed instrument with a rich tone), and a guitarist from Italy to give his work a more organic sound. The song takes its name from the Armenian city that inspired it, aiming to evoke a sense of nostalgia with its fusion of Armenian and Mediterranean influences.
